Why so much nudity in the project

When I planned my projects and lay out the concepts at one stage I want to use a nude model. But it should played only a separte part of the project and not related to the three installations objects at all. So I brought a lot of things from Berlin and got some material which I like to use with the model.

But later I decided before the shootings ,I wanted to put something else in my three installations objects, a living thing. To bring the installations and the meaning to live and combine performance and video installations with the objects. On the second stage the nude body became a metaphoric symbol for a identity in a vulnerable, fragile and unprotected state. In our nudity we show as we are, it makes an important part of our identity. But also on the other side in the state of nudity we are all the same. Sure still differences can be seen through skin colors, body structure but not interrupted and distracted  by manmade symbols of status or hierarchies.

The third and very important, Yu-I brought in her own interpretation and thoughts about the Land Art objects and their concepts which change the emphasizes  and form of expression drastically. It turn to be out of a session of numerous small  performance pieces she performed for the video installations and  photo shootings related to the object and the concept of identity, culture and border crossing. At one point of the project we decided not to use any material like the body paint, textiles , mask and many other things. Because we both came to the conclusion all those items would have a disturbing  influence on the relationship with her body, the objects and the environment.

 Warum so viel Nacktheit 

Als ich das Projekt und Konzepte geplant hatte, wollte ich auch ein Aktmodell verwenden. Aber es sollte nur einen Bruchteil des Projektes ausmachen und sich nicht auf die drei Installationen beziehen. Also brachte ich eine Menge Dinge aus Berlin mit und habe weiteres Material besorgt was ich mit dem Modell verwenden wollte

Aber dann hatte beschlossen, vor den Shootings, dass ich gerne etwas anderes meinen drei Installationen beifügen wollte, etwas Lebendes. Die Anlagen und die Bedeutung zu bringen, zu leben und zu kombinieren Performance und Videoinstallationen mit den Objekten. 

Zum zweiten wurde der nackte Körper wurde zu einem metaphorischen Symbol für eine Identität in einem verletzlichen, zerbrechlichen und ungeschützten Zustand. In unserer Nacktheit zeigen wir, wie wir sind, sie zeigt einen wichtigen Teil unserer Identität. Dazu den Zustand das wir nackt wir alle gleich sind. Es gibt zwar die biologischen Unterschiede durch Hautfarben, Körperstruktur, Geschlecht aber ohne die Beeinträchtigung  von durch Menschen verursachte bzw. beigefügten Statussymbolen, bzw Kleidungen die Menschen in Gruppen; Nationen oder Hierarchien einteilen

Der dritte und sehr wichtige Aspekt ist. Yu-I brachte durch ihre eigenen Interpretationen und Gedanken über die Installationen und dessen Konzepte, eine drastische Veränderung, in Bezug auf Ausdrucksform und Visionen. Sie führte zahlreichen kurze Performances aus, für die Videoinstallationen und Fotoshootings mit Bezug auf die Installationen und dessen Konzept über Identität, Kulturen und Grenzen. An einem Punkt des Projektes haben wir uns dann entschieden, keine Materialen Körperfarbe, Textilien, Maske oder andere Dinge zu verwenden. Weil wir beide zu dem Schluss kamen , all diese Einzelteile würden einen störenden Einfluss auf die Beziehung zu ihrem Körper, den Objekten und die Umgebung haben.
